Cimolais, is the headquarters of the friulane Dolomites park and this territory is known for its beautiful peaks, such as the “Campanile” of Val Montanaia and the Cima of the ” Cima dei tre Preti”. Mountaineers and hikers from all over the world pass through this place with the aim of reaching the highest peaks and observing its magnificent landscape.

Cimolais is located in the Cimoliana Valley, a side valley to Valcelllina, 52 km away from Pordenone and 85 km from Udine. Much of the area is included in the Friulane Dolomites Nature Park, which is designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the territory of Cimolais flows the Cimoliana stream, a tributary of the Cellina stream and the locals are called “cimoliani”.

How to get to Cimolais

Cars
From the A4 motorway take the Portogruaro exit and then exit again in Pordenone. Continue along the SP19 or SP29, heading towards Montereale Valcellina. Once you arrive in Montereale, continue on the SR251 to Cimolais.

Buses
Departures from the Pordenone Bus Station adjacent to the central train station, take line Pordenone-Maniago-Claut-Cimolais.

Train
The nearest train station is Montereale Valcellina.
Sacile-Gemona line: at the train station in Sacile take the regional train that leads to Maniago station. Possibility of bicycle transport.
Or Longarone-Zoldo station, Calazo-Padova line.

Plane
The nearest airports are: Ronchi of the Legionnaires (Trieste), A. Canova (Treviso), San Marco Polo (Venice)
